I went to see The Game Plan yesterday afternoon. Here's the trailer: The Game Plan
I had the movie theater all to myself, so it was kinda like a private show. Very nice!
I had a great time. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is quite the comedian! I thought he was very funny and entertaining. And the movie had some great music too. Dwayne's character is a big Elvis fan, so there was a lot of his music throughout the movie.
Today I went shopping in Antwerp. I picked up the latest issue of the SPN magazine and got some Sunday Shampoo and Surf Spray from Bumble & Bumble. I also bought four DVD's for just 25 EURO! I got Spiderman 3, The South Park Movie (I love Eric Cartman!), the 2-disc edition of Blade Trinity (Ryan Reynolds, yay!) and.... New York Minute! I know, I caved. I bought it just because Jared Padalecki is in it. I've seen the movie before, and it's really not that bad. Plus, Jared in his pink shirt, and more importantly OUT of it, is so totally worth 7 EURO. LOL
Right now I'm listening to American Boy by Estelle ft. Kanye West. It's one of my favorite songs at the moment. It's got such a cool groove and I like the lyrics. Especially: "Don't like his baggy jeans, but I'ma like what's underneath them." :-)
And totally random: I so ♥ the icon in this post. I'm such a geek when it comes to J2.

I went to the movies with
movie_fisch yesterday. (Yay, my best friend B. now has her own LJ!) We saw Step Up 2 The Streets. I looooove dance movies, and this one was awesome! I liked it better than the first one actually. This one had some funkier dance moves. The music was great too, especially Missy Elliott's "Shake your Pom Pom."
The girl who played the female lead, Briana Evigan, reminded me very much of Demi Moore. I think it was mostly because of her voice. And Robert Hoffman, DAMN that boy can move! He can give me some dance lessons anytime! I also really liked the guy that played Moose. He was so cute and funny! And that kid's got some serious skills for a 16-year old.
There was a lot of stuff in the trailer that didn't make it into the movie, which is a shame. I really liked the booty shaking Briana did and that "sliding on the knees and elbows" thing. And that one move Robert did, it's kinda hard to describe. When he pushes himself up off the floor. It's kinda like a reversed Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal... thing. LOL I really don't know how else to describe it. Just watch the trailer and you'll see what I mean.
And Channing Tatum had a little cameo too. Yay!

I went to the movies with my best friend B. last night. We saw Sweeney Todd. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp: my favorite director and my favorite actor, what a combo! I absolutely LOVED it! Burton's movies are always visually stunning. The sets, the costumes, the musical score... Simply gorgeous. He always manages to create a beautiful, dark, gothic fairytale world. And Johnny was amazing as usual. My friend had read a review somewhere that said Johnny's singing voice was disappointing. But let me tell ya: I heard nothing wrong with his voice! I think he did wonderful! Helena Bonham Carter was great too. I'm definitely gonna buy the soundtrack. Also: GILES!!! Anthony Stewart Head was in the movie for like 3 seconds. Haha, I got a real kick out of seeing him next to Johnny. I'm such a geek, lol!
We also saw the trailer for The Dark Knight. It feels kinda weird to see Heath Ledger on the big screen now. But I can't WAIT to see this movie! It looks friggin' AWESOME! And I think Heath's version of the Joker is gonna be sublime. Truly twisted, insane and deliciously evil! And that chillingly creepy laugh... brilliant!
And: the strike is finally over!! Yeah baby! Six more episodes of SPN and... starting April 11th, 4 more of Moonlight! *does happy dance*
To celebrate, here's my review of episode 5: ( Arrested Development )

Gerard Butler has made another movie: Nim's Island.
Oh, this looks like so much fun! I'm not really a fan of Jodie Foster, but this is a different kind of role for her. Has she ever done a comedy before? I don't really know. But I think I'm gonna like her in this one.
Gerry looking very Indiana Jones. Clickable.

Went to Antwerp with my friend M. today, who I hadn't seen in quite a while. We had a nice long lunch to catch up, and we went to see The Bourne Ultimatum. One word: WOW! I thought this was the best movie in the trilogy. Matt Damon was born to play this part. He really makes Jason believable. I really love the character. And to know that you can kick anyone's ass... that's gotta be a cool feeling! :-) Lots of action, great stunts, an amazing car chase... And Matt looked great as usual. I really like his profile, he has such a cute nose, lol!

OK, I confess. I've been so completely sucked in by the SPN fandom, that I kinda forgot about my Scottish Hottie Gerard Butler. I'm sorry Gerry!
I've just taken a look at his IMDB page and found out he's got an interesting movie coming up: "P.S. I love you." And the cast looks great: Hilary Swank, Lisa Kudrow AND... James Marsters and Jeffrey Dean Morgan! Woohooo!! Spikey and Papa Winchester!
The plot (may be slightly spoilery): "On a country road in Ireland over ten years ago, it was love at first sight for Holly, a lost young tourist (Hilary Swank), and Gerry, a charming local lad (Gerard Butler). Holly's formidable mother (Kathy Bates), disapproved of the couple, concerned that her spirited daughter was too young for marriage. In the years since, the once fearless Holly has become unsure of her own identity. When Gerry becomes ill and leaves Holly a widow just shy of her thirtieth birthday, her family and best friends (Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon) are concerned that she will never emerge from her takeout container-strewn Manhattan apartment. After weeks holed up watching old movies, a birthday message from Gerry mysteriously arrives, marking the beginning of a series of letters instructing her to perform unusual requests. With the help of her girlfriends, Holly begins a year of wild adventures that Gerry has planned for her, helping her to discover who she is without him and reminding her - p.s. I Love You."
Oh dear, I'm gonna need tissues, aren't I? And it should come out around Christmas time, so I'll definitely be in the mood for some romance.
Some pictures behind the cut ( PS I love you )
