Only 2 more days 'til Asylum!!! I'm so freakin' excited!

I have an extra day off from work tomorrow, and it's going to be busy, busy. I'm going to get myself all pretty for the convention, lol. I'm getting my hair colored at 9am, and I've booked a manicure for 1pm at Zenses, where I got my massage a few weeks ago. I think I'm gonna try some more of their beauty treatments. A girl's got to pamper herself every now and again, right? And right now my hands could really use some TLC. I work with paper all day, so my hands and especially my cuticles get very dry. I've never had a manicure before, so I'm curious to see what it will be like.

I also have to go to the bank to get my British Pounds. I already know I'm going to spend waaaaay too much money at the convention. I don't think I'll be able to leave the Merchandise Room empty handed! lol

And I have to pack, of course! I've already put aside my season 2 companion book, I want to get it signed.

I also got an email today that my flight has been changed from 1.40pm to 10.35am. I'm not really happy about that. Traffic will be much heavier, and... I won't get to see the new SPN episode! If my flight had been at 1.40pm, I would have had the time to download & watch the new episode in the morning. Oh well, guess I'll have to watch it when I get back!

Another guest has been added to the Asylum list: Sterling K. Brown aka Gordon. Okay, honestly? A shiver went down my spine when I read the news. Gordon creeped me the fuck OUT, man! And not in a good way. I did not like the character of Gordon. At all. I know, I know. I'm gonna be meeting the actor, not the character. But I gotta say, he kinda scares me a little. I've bought photo-op tickets for all the guests, but I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna get one for Sterling. I'll probably pee myself if I have to stand next to him! lol

Anyhoo, more important stuff: the boys are back! And so are my reaction reviews.

It's Friday, people! And I've got some fun little goodies to amuse myself with this weekend. My SPN season 2 Companion book arrived today. YAY! It's so pretty and shiny and blue! lol
I also got "Duck Amuck" for my Nintendo DS. This game is addictive, y'all. I just love pissing off Daffy!

And Lauren Cohan has been added to the Asylum guest list! Very cool! I hope there will be a photo op with Katie & Lauren together. And I certainly hope people will make the distinction between Lauren the actress and Bela the character. I know a lot of people don't like Bela, but Lauren is just playing the part as it is written. So don't be hating on Lauren just because Bela pisses you off, kay? I am very excited about meeting all the guests! It's gonna be awesome!

God, I am such a geek. I'm grinning like an idiot over the A.J. Buckley news.
I absolutely adored him in Hell House. He was so friggin' hilarious! It's one of my favorite SPN episodes (and not just because of Jared in a towel!)

And BOBBY!!!! So awesome.

It's a shame Adrianne had to cancel. I was looking forward to meeting her. She seems like a real sweetheart (and she's soooo pretty!). But Jim and A.J. more than make up for it.
And like blackbirdj2 said in her journal, things will probably be a bit more relaxed without the main stars of the show. Don't get me wrong, I still very much want to meet Jared & Jensen. But maybe it's better for my first convention experience that J2 aren't there. I won't be as nervous now. And then when I finally do meet them, I will know what to expect from the whole convention thing and I'll be a bit more at ease. Though I'm sure my heart will still be pounding in my throat when I lay eyes on the sublime perfection that is Jensen Ackles! lol

Three more weeks!

"We are really disappointed to announce that due to the filming of the new Friday the 13th feature film Jared Padalecki is now unable to appear. His management and the studio tried to clear his schedule and if the show was in the USA it was not a problem but due to the flights etc it would mean he would have to miss a minimum of six days filming. We are currently now looking for replacement guests and will announce these as soon as we can."

Well, shit! I was so looking forward to seeing Jared in the flesh. I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm not gonna let this bad news bring me down. We still get Samantha, Chad, Katie and Adrianne AND performances by Jason Manns and Steve Carlson. And I'll get to meet my fellow Belgians blackbirdj2, jenworth and tweety_be!

I'm very curious about who the replacement guest(s) will be. I'm secretly wishing for Jensen of course, but I don't think that's gonna happen with only 5 weeks to the event.

That being said: I am not giving up. I WILL meet Jared & Jensen one day. Even if I have to fly all the way to America to do it! lol

Ugh, I have a cold and I'm feeling a bit... bleh. I'm sneezing and blowing my nose constantly and my fingers feel like icesicles. Brrr... But I guess it's best to get it out of my system now. I don't want to be sneezing all over Jared in May! ^_^

And speaking of which, all these great L.A. Con reports, pics and videos are making me even MORE excited about Asylum!

Okay, I'm gonna take a nice hot shower, get cosy and comfortable in my bed and read a few more chapters of "Dark Side of the Moon."

MY CONFIRMATION LETTER FOR ASYLUM 2008 FINALLY ARRIVED TODAY!!!

Now I can relax. I was starting to get a bit worried, actually. I bought my ticket in September! My registration number is 706. I'm so excited, I can't wait to go!

We had a blast today. We went to Antwerp, had a nice lunch, and we saw Jumper! Hmm... Hayden...
I got her "My so-called life" on DVD. (She loooooves Jared Leto)
